His opera performances have also taken him to the Festivals of Paris, Versailles, Athens, Monte Carlo, Ljubjana, Dubrovnic, Schwetzingen and Luxembourg; while in concerts, radio and television he has sung in Brazil, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Iceland, Ireland, Spain and Yugoslavia, as well as singing with all the major and regional orchestras of the UK.

Ian Caddy studied at the Royal Academy of Music, London, with Henry Cummings, with Iris Dell Acqua and subsequently with Otakar Kraus.

In 2005, Ian Caddy stepped on to the podium to conduct amateur chamber choirs and orchestral ensembles in England and France: music by Zielenski, Charpentier, Purcell, Mondonville, Mozart, Duruflé and Ben Newton.
